The route has stairs and ramps and is physically demanding. Expect many steps, so plan for a real workout, especially on the way down and around the Cathedral Room.

The way back
You do not climb back up on foot. A cable railway takes the group out of the cave at the end of the tour.
Children
Children under 8 years old must be with a supervising person. Think about the stairs before you decide whether a small child will manage the full hour.
Marvel Cave tour season 2026
The park season runs from 13 March 2026 to 2 January 2027. That is a range, not a promise of daily tours. Look up the operating calendar for your date before you buy a ticket for one day.
