How the ride-through cave tour works
What to expect on the day.
A seated tour
The wagons are pulled by jeeps, and nobody walks the route. That makes the tour a good fit for small children, older visitors and anyone who prefers not to climb stairs.
Length and distance
Plan on about 55 minutes and 1 mile in the wagons. Add time for parking and for waiting until your tour leaves.
Wheelchairs
The cave is wheelchair accessible. Because chairs differ in size and weight, ask about yours before your visit.
Group visits
Groups from 20 paid admissions get lower rates. They need to arrange the visit beforehand and pay together.
Opening days and tour times
The cave is open every day of the year except three.
In 2026 Fantastic Caverns is open daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The last tour leaves 1 hour before closing time. Daily hours can change from one day to the next, so look up the hours for your date before you go and arrive well ahead of the last tour.
If you plan a longer trip, the caves around Branson are a separate drive, and the guide to the best time to visit shows how seasons change the choice of cave.
